Talent Search by Daywind Studios

Hodge Music Ministries in conjunction with DAYWIND STUDIOS presents the 2011 TALENT SEARCH. There will be 4 preliminaries with 3 contestants from each one advancing to the final competetion. The final competetion will be held Feb 19.2011 at a location in the Jackson TN area. From the 12 finalist there will emerge 3 winners at the finale, these winners will be chosen by audience vote the night of the final competetion... 1st Place...wins a recording session with Daywind Music Group, which includes 6hrs Studio Time, A Nashville Producer, A Nashville Engineer, Lease on 10 daywind tracks..(Approx Value..$3000l_) 2nd Place will win the Lease on 10 Daywind Tracks of their choice to record with (Approx Value...$1750.00) and 3rd place will win $100.00 worth of Daywind Sound Tracks. More About Ivan and Jamie

Ivan was born into a singing family. He is the youngest of eleven children born to Walter Lyles and Joanne Hodge. For as long as anyone can remember, there has always been a singing group or soloist from that family. Ivan began singing at a very early age and from time to time would sing with his brothers and sisters.

In the early seventies, Ivan's sister Barbara Roach sang with the world-famous Blackwood Family. Ivan, then in his early teens, traveled on a tour to be with his sister and was featured almost every night singing a solo.

In his twenties, he sang with a brother and two sisters in a group called the Tennesseans. After a while, he began singing solo again.

Ivan has traveled all across the United States sharing the Word and singing in many different churches of all denominations.

He won the Frank Arnold Talent Contest in Jackson, TN three years ago and went on to record on the Daywind Label. Since then, he has been a part of the Jubilee Homecoming Choir tours and videos.

Ivan is married to a wonderful lady, "Jamie" and they have three daughters: Erica, Jenna, and Kirby. They have one grandson who is the joy of their lives.

A few years ago, Jamie had a stroke and could not speak but three words. Doctors said much therapy would be needed. After three weeks, Jamie could speak very well. In the spring of '07, Jamie felt the nudge of the Lord leading her to share the gospel in song with her husband and they now have a duet. It was also in '07 that Ivan felt the call to preach the word.

This couple would be a blessing to any church gathering or Christian venue.
